Default It's no DSM... NOOB question

So, recently I picked up an 05 RSX type-s. Got a great deal on it, and its in immaculate condition. I was just wondering if they came stock with launch control. The person I bought it from never mentioned any work done to the ECU. I also tried searching online to find any information about it, and anything I found with launch control was done with K-Pro. So when 2-step pops its set around 5500 RPM if that helps anything. I have asked several people and I hear it's stock from half, and chipped from half so sorry for the noob question. I just come from the land of DSM.. Where everything is broken

Welcome to the land of Hondas my friend.

You are going to enjoy working on cars that make sense and that just work!

I am not sure but I heard that the 05s are rev limited in neutral to something below redline.

One of the DC5 guys should take car of you though...

Once again. Welcome to Honda.

The 5500RPM ia the standing revlimiter, and its stock. But with kpro you can change it.

I personally don't think it's meant for it to be some sort of launching method or any of that sort.

But I'm positive about one thing, that it's normal for the needle to stop at around 5.5K rpm when in neutral. Same thing happens with my brother's '05 RSX Type-S, but don't know the reason why it does that. If anyone knows, please chime in.

It may not be a 2-step in any way, but it sure does kind of reacts like one.
