Default Axle back exhaust?

The part of my exhaust right past the rear axles broke off, very clean actually too. Right where the flange is, it rotted off.

The car is a 92 CX, but since its axle back i imagine any bolt on piece for an EG would work.

So , my question is - is there any companies that sell just this portion of the exhaust? If not, how much is it from honda? I'd rather go for a nicer muffler if i'm going to pay through the nose anyway. I don't want anything loud though..

I'd just get a good muffler and take it to a muffler shop and let them route the axle back exhaust for ya.

Thats what I was thinking, but a decent muffler will cost me 100$ - and the only places i know around here are going to jack that up a bunch to add a pipe and install it. The mechanic down the street said he would do the OEM honda piece for 150 parts + labor. So just seeing what my options are.

150+labor? thats wack. 2 bolts and a new direct replacement axleback from napa or autozone shouldnt be more than $80 and you can do it yourself

what is the OEM honda site you guys use? (what dealership gives the biggest discount i guess) I know the mitsu guys use rockville mitsubishi.

Maybe i'll go see what that portion costs from honda, and pick up an SI muffler or something. Just to price it and see.

Would it be 51? 119$. Looks like it includes the pipe, do i need to get the exhaust tip as well or anything else?

Bosal makes a good direct fit exhaust

You should be able to pick one up locally for around $100-150ish. Your local auto parts store should have a stock replacement as well.
