Default Could this be a possible tranny issue.

I live in NJ and today it was raining a little, like drizzling. I came to a stop. When the light turned green I stepped on the gas lightly and the car felt as if the wheels were spinning but the car wasn't moving. I backed off the gas and gave it gas and it moved again. wThis has happened to me frequently. I'm wondering if the tranny is losing it.

Sounds like you need to get new tires and watch your lead foot. When it's raining the ground is wet, and wet ground provides much less traction, especially with worn tires or tires that are not all season.

You were spinning the wheels. I do that all the time in the rain.

All my tires still have good grip. I check them for wear every 3 months/when I do my oil change. My tires are all season. I will be getting new ones anyway just wanted to know. I'm looking for some nice 4 lug rims if not I'll covert to 5 lug. Thanks for the input dudes
