UPDATE May 24th: We just got our brand new 64" Mimaki printer up and running. I've started running some of the banners we are donating to the event and they look superb.
We will be taking pre orders of the official expo banner in a couple different sizes, including a few other things so you can have items delivered to the event to avoid shipping charges. Please post here if you'd be interested in anything in particular you've seen in this thread. I'll have pricing and sizes posted in the next week. Here are a few pictures I took with my camera phone.






UPDATE May 15th: Will probably not be offering NUMBER magnets due to the lack of interest. I revised the font at the bottom for the Expo Name Magnets and have completed all for those who PM'ed me. Doespike - mailed yours today.


UPDATE May 10th: Created additional custom 6.5 feet tall by 3 feet wide "magazine article" banner - took about 3 hours to design. A couple of them will be donated to lucky winners at the Banquet. Banner(s) have not been printed yet so I might make some changes however I superimposed it in the stand so you guys can see how it will look at the event. You'll have no problem reading the articles on the banner if you want to reminisce.

BTW, the dude standing next to the banner is not me. However surprisingly he looks like he's ready for Expo with his comfy look-alike racing shoes.





UPDATE May 8th: Here are preview shots of banners created for banquet display and then a couple copies will be given away. They will be printed on heavy duty 15oz water proof vinyl. I sorted through the aerial shots and selected the best angles and combined them. These banner designs can be changed so if anyone has suggestions let me know.

I've had a few people request name magnets as something we could offer so people can recognize each other easier. They are 18 inches long and 5 inches tall. They are made with high quality vehicle magnet and custom cut, two color vinyl.

Name magnets are $16.50 for one $29.00 for two. No charge for shipping if you are willing to wait to get them on Sunday the 8th, the evening before the event. Shipping is $7 via UPS Ground.

I'm in the process of arranging a pilot so I can once again shoot aerial photos of the ITR track caravan. With some luck it might happen - it's been extremely difficult to make this happen at VIR compared to previous track locations.

I just noticed that my site was down for the first time in a long while. Think I forgot to renew my hosting plan - i'll check on that tomorrow and get everthing back online. Site was up a few days ago.

I would be interested in magnetic numbers. I've been meaning to get some for auto cross for a while, but haven't gotten around to it.

Sounds good guys. They would be designed with cut vinyl placed onto a square magnet, similar to the one found in this picture.

Any preference on size or design? I'll work on a prototype layout to post in this thread.

looks pretty good to me. possibly put class ie DSP above the number where AGILE is above? I'll have to check on rules for legal sizes and whatnot. I'll let you know.

Good question - You can paypal in advance OR wait to pay with cash/check at the event.

 

This is a way cool idea. I'll be getting some name magnets shortly, saves me from having to reprint these bad boys
