Summer tire suggestion needed
1997 dx hatch, 15x6.5 rims.
Stock suspension ATM, but soon to have a set of PIC selects.
I drive this car 100 miles a day 5 days a week, so I feel like 615's might be a little overkill as they may not even last a year. I have the stock rims with all seasons on them, so I'm looking for a summer tire that has decent wear properties (expected life ~20k) and has some stick to it.
I was looking at the Kuhmo MX as I've had good luck with them in the past, but they're on backorder.
Any suggestions in 195/55R15 or 205/50R15? Thanks.

I wouldn't recommend the Kumho MX either. Not a bad tire, but they'll only last 15-20K miles (vs 10-12K miles for the Azenis). You can get some decent summer tires that should last you 30-40K miles, maybe even more, and still have decent performance, on dry roads and in rain. I just checked and found an incredibly low price for a great tire in this category:
Kumho SPT 195/55-15 ($44.80/tire at tires-easy.com)
So go order them NOW. Those tires usually sell for around $60-70 each.
A few other choices I recommend:
Fuzion ZRi 205/50-15 ($60/tire at Tire Rack, but back ordered; $72/tire at tires-easy.com)
Yokohama S.drive 195/55-15 ($70.50/tire at tires-easy.com)
You can save some money with these other tires, which cost a bit less (unless you're getting that awesome price on the SPT) and are a small step down in performance from the previous group:
Dunlop Direzza DZ101 205/50-15 ($49.50/tire at Tire Rack after rebate)
General Exclaim UHP 195/55-15 ($56/tire at Tire Rack)
Kumho SPT 195/55-15 ($44.80/tire at tires-easy.com)

tires-easy seems awfully shady, and they're not doing real well on bizrate.
I went with the s.drives earlier on tire rack, they should be here tomorrow shipping out of DE. Now I need to go grab some lugs and a set of locks. And probably an alarm now that something more flashy than the stock hubcaps will be on it.

They're reputable. In fact, at that price, I just ordered some myself.

Mine aren't. But tire noise is much more a function of tread depth than tire selection. Most tires are pretty quiet when they're new, but get louder as they wear down (including the Yokos).

The Advan Neova doesn't come in 15" sizes.

Wow, this is your fifth post on the forum and both sentences demonstrate that you don't know what you're talking about. Pretty impressive.

Thanks for not even reading the question. Because if you'd read it, you'd understand while those are all terrible suggestions.
Ended up with the s.drives, and a few hundred miles in they seem like they're going to fit the requirements pretty nicely.
