Default wat do i need to run vtec 90 crx si

ok i just picked up a 90 crx si... it has a d16y8 in it but the motor is running the obd0 set up i believe that came on the si, so the whole harness is untouched and car runs awesome just need help with the whole vtec thing cuz he had it with a normal switch... so is the best thing to do wire the vtec to an rpm switch.. a vtec controller or is there a way i can through a p28 in it? any help will be great thanks

with the conversion harness u will need the obd1 dizzy, a 4 wire o2 sensor, and the p28. a vtec controller is a cheaper method, but the od1 conversion is supposed to run smoother. i didnt find that to be true when i converted mine over, if it wasnt for the fact that i need to bar mine i would go back to obd0 and sell off this obd1 stuff. but thats just my opinion since i couldnt tell a difference between the 2, i guess results may vary.

i cant teall u which one is better, it depends on ur state smog laws and mostly on ur pocket book. the vtec controller is the cheaper of the choices.
