stupid question but: are my rotors supposed to be boiling hot when im done driving?
drove 50 miles on the freeway @ 8- (cali speed
)
come home to wash my wheels, and the second the water hits the wheel and bounces to the rotor it starts boiling it, i stood back about 5 feet and i can feel the heat coming off of the rotors.
i was not driving it hard.
i know they are supposed to be hot. but these were like i was welding on them for about an hour hot.

Is the caliper sticking? Are both wheels doing the same thing? Rotors do get really hot and if you were riding the brakes then it would be even worse. This may indicate a problem in your braking system, I'd check to see if you can spin the wheel by hand.
ya they usally get hot. for only a little while,
i checked just right freaking now.
i am an idiot. the pads are soooo freakin gone, and the rotor looks like TRASH
i was'nt even riding them.
i used to b!tch when i was doing brakes for customers
it's probably the tests/finals coming up that are killing me. thanks for your help man
