B20 Vtec Questions??
Im thinking about doing a b20 vtec swap in my 99 civic coupe.
First question is what head to use type R is a little out of my price range but i was thinking about either SIR or GSR, what advantages/disadvantages do these have.
Second question which tranny, again im thinking along the lines of GSR or SIR.
Third question, how simple is it to install a b20vtec in my 99 civic, i know its not quite direct bolt in but is it that much more work then any other b-series. Thanks in advance for the help.

when using a gsr the downfall would be the Intake manifold. Its ugly and you would have to remove or wire in the secondary. The other option is an after market manifold.
The gsr head will have higher compression
SIR will have lower but there wouldnt be any issues with the intake manifold.
I would suggest a gsr trans over an SIR. a gsr is just right
