Default Should I strip my interior?

lately ive been tempting the idea of stripping everything from the front seats back on my car. Just wondering do you guys think this is a good idea at all?

Reasons i want to do it:
I like the looks of it after cleaning it up.
I almost never have more then 1 passenger in my car
My rear tires rub when i have rear passengers
I can make some money by selling the interior.

any comments would be appreciated and considered. thanks!

i didnt like daily driving my car gutted. Its noisy, rattles and the radio sounds like butt. But it will make your car weigh about 5-10 pounds less. Im not for gutting a car unless its a race car.

I wouldn't do it unless I was dragging. I'm sure there would be more road noise, Civics have too much as it is IMO.

Don't take offense, but I consider stripping the interior of a street car as a ricer trend. .02

I thought you meant strip it to do something, then put it back in. I wouldn't ever take it all out of my daily driver. Won't do anything for you, except maybe the rear seat weight.

my turbo car is guttet, from the front seats back... wouldnt do it on a daily driver, the weight savings isnt even worth it on a street car IMO and the exessive sounds will drive u crazy

I have the two front seats, carpet and seatbelts in my car. That's about it. It's not that loud. No radio either. No headliner or interior plastics aside from the door seals and visors. It's not half as bad as people make it seem.

Im sorry, but a car that stripped down has no business being driven more than 10 seconds at a time if you get what I mean...

And why is that? None of it is safety equipment. I don't carry passengers, hell I don't even need the passenger seat in it and could pull it as well but I'm not re-upholstering the fronts yet.

I just got done recovering my headliner, the back seats are pulled apart waiting for me to get the time to make patterns and re-upholster them , the plastics are 1/10th their way to being painted black. Oh yeah, and I guess the lack of door panels would **** you off too? But I'm switching to power doors and windows so I don't need them. Not too mention the window will fall off the track if rolled down and the radio didn't work.

If I didn't drive my car for longer than 10 second periods I'd never make it anywhere.

I did it to my DD and I love it... I only went as far as carpet and sound deadening, but i like it. It's easy to clean and you can make ur floor any color you want and repaint it if it gets scratched or anything.

my 2c

You didnt mention that it was gutted as part of a restoration effort, that makes a whole lot more sense than "i dont carry passengers so i don't need seats". And what I meant by a car that gutted shouldnt be driven for more than 10 seconds at a time is that it should be a trailer queen full race car that is doing 10's or better in the 1320... otherwise it would be hard to justify the mere 20 lbs you may save from removing every single creature comfort from your daily driver.
