Will the type s cams from a 2002 RSX-S fit a 2003 Base model RSX?

 

I've been wondering the same thing.

 

im selling the item on ebay, and the question was brought up. is there something wrong with the base cams?

 

No they will not, the cylinder heads/ cams are not the same design.

I think I've seen it done but with a lot of work that I wouldn't conside worth it. They do make after market cams for the a3

I'm pretty sure that this has been covered numerous times already, I know that I've seen this same question pop up about once every other month, lol.

 

i searched a few times, and couldn't find it, sometimes it's how people word it... believe me if i posted for every question that came up, Honda-Tech would ban me.

Does that mean K20A ITR cams won't fit in K20A3s either?

Never fails this question comes up atleast once a month. The k20a, k20a2, k24a2 cams will not work on a k20a3 head. Three lobe and two lobe cams are not interchangeable period....I can be made to work but the work and cost outweighs the benefits. You are better off going aftermarket.
