Buying transmission what to look for??
grab the input shaft and see if it has play, If it does, you have a shot input shaft bearing. Also try rotating the input shaft and check for roughness, which will acount for bearings about to go, or lack of maintence.

s4c stamp maybe. sounds iffy, but maybe you'll score a perfectly good true s4c trans for $300 and not some busted *** LS. i speak from multiple experiences...people try and be so slick sometimes. why i only pick up transmissions and crack the bitches right open.
