Default tb spacer: yay or nay

just curious what u guys think of it.

i figure its a waste of money since ur putting more space between the tb and the runners. so more turbulence in the plenum and each runner wont get the same amount of air.

thats my 2 cents.

i wanna hear what u guys gotta say about the topic at hand

Considering the spacer alone makes as much power as an Injen cold air intake, think about what adding a drop in K&N filter, TB & manifold gaskets will do. Not to mention have a clean OEM look and factory driveability and serviceability of your air filter with a reduced chance of hydro lock for less than the Injen intake.

Will the TB spacer cause any issues with the mounting of a SRI?

You may have to trim the coupler to the throttle body. Most of the time thats all.

That doesn't really add up. Only two runners are ingesting air at any given time anyway. Plus, TB spacers have shown proven gains, regardless of how small they are. Is this a "Is it worth the money?" poll or is it a "Does this product work?" poll? Because yes, it does work. Depending on the price one may get on a spacer, it may or may not be worth it.

All 4 cylinders don't fire at the same time. So at any given moment there is only 2 cylinders with the intake valves open.

that was my main point. i kno that there are only 2 cylinders fire at the same time cuz they're companion cylinders.

cuz you need 2 gaskets. stock theres one between the tb and manifold. when u add the spacer, you need one from the spacer to the manifold and another one from the spacer to the tb.

I have the P2r Spacer and i love it especialy in the high RPMS im using it with a AEM SRI and its great i did have the ad like a L Braket to fit the SRI better with out any mods to the SRI, as far as for a CAI i think it will rub against your radiater house a bit thats all.

are there any substantial gains seen from this, that might warrant buying one?

p2r claims and other ppl as well that it gives more of a gain than a cai.
i think p2r says 4.5 hp to the wheels with their package. but it comes with an im gasket.
