Default Rebuild running hot!!!!

I'm new to the forum and I have problem with returning my work car to service. I just replaced my head, head gasket, timing belt, water pump, oil pump, and thermostat on my 1989 CRX Si/D16A6/stock engine. The car starts fine and idles fine, but runs hot when on the road and drinks gas, sits in the drive idling and stays cool. I've flushed the radiator and replaced the coolant. No oil or coolant leaks. Does timing or bad O2 sensors cause this ??? Any help anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated..
Thanks,

Hey thanks for the reply. I'll try both. Another quick question--will the injectors from a D16ZC work on a D16A6 without any other modification to the wiring or ECU ????
Thanks---

water jet plug? what in the f.uck is that...

sounds like you have replaced everything u should have, you got air in your system somewhere. jack up the front of the car as high as u can and take the rad cap off and let it warm up the air will come out.

good luck.

yeah the whole thing about the ecu is way out of the question. it sounds like your radiator is clogged. like shorty said, bleed the air out of your system by letting the car cool down then open the radiator cap. fill close to the top then start the car with the cap still off, you should see the level drop. fill it till it starts to overflow then replace the cap. fill your resivour to the max line. with the car running again open the little bleader on the upper radiator hose housing so air can escape. repeat the bleading for 5 min or so and you should be good. also let it run till the fan comes on just to make sure its working

Thanks for the help--I'm at the point where I'll try anything to get back on the road reguardless of how far out it seems. I have access to some D16ZC parts and was wondering if the ZC injectors will work on my D16A6 without wiring modifications ??
Thanks for the info--

i would put a ohm meter on it and see if the resistance is the same for both the set of injectors. if it is your fine.

Just got finished bleeding the air out of the block/radiator--You would not believe how much was there!! Thanks Innes-- I'll check the resistance on the injectors.

Thanks again for the help
