use this website:
http://hybrid.honda-perf.org/tech/4gdxtozc.html
it's what i used to do mine. now keep in mind, these instructions are for a DOHC ZC that utilize the seperate cylinder position sensor at the end of the exhaust cam. If you are doing this to a SOHC you will need the following:
distributor from a 89-91 civic/crx si
mpfi ecu ( i recommend pm6 )
and you'll have to wire the blue/green and blue/yellow wires to the corrosponding wire on the distributor.
(not to mention the complete mpfi manifold, throttle, fuel rail, injectors, etc.)

*note: when wiring up your distributor it is very easy to mix up the two white wires, so either keep them marked, or switch them if you end up with problems.
**note: when changing the pins at the ecu remember they are numbered looking at the connector on the wired side and are in order like so:
1 3 5 7 9 11 13 ...
2 4 6 8 10 12 14 ...
***note: when making your subharness, build in a connector just after the firewall between the ecu and the rest of the harness. you'll thank yourself when you go to upgrade that engine.

my final tid-bit of info. sadly, the dpfi-mpfi swap info in the FAQ section here is pretty old, the websites used no longer exist and they seem to really get off topic, but the info i've provided should get you taken care of. not that i think you'll need it, but good luck

sometimes tracking down all the plugs u need can be a pain and if uve never done any wiring like this than it can be a little overwhelming. this guy sells a nice harness, ive used him a few times for friends cars as its really easy and cheap if u think about the cost and ur time to hunt down all the stuff and rewire ur current harness. i especially like the $30 back if u send in ur old dx harness. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW gl

yes u have to add 4 wires.... i just try to help the new guys out. to alot of people thier time is worth something, and when u dont know ur way around a honda yet the wiring can be a little overwheleming. so lol all u want, im just showing them an easier route, no reason to be a jerk about it.

im not being a jerk i just dont seen paying all that shipping, and getting someone to make 4 injectors, and wire up the cam position sensor. and you still have to depin the ecu that is just retarded. your going to pay about 140$ easy to just get a harness made now if it was fully plug and play if they used the stock plugins to avoid having to still go under the dash yea.. i could see that.. but other then that.. 50$ maybe.. but not 100+ that is just asking too much.. and the ecu was the hardest part for me.. wiring up a positive and neg to the reisitor box was easy as hell. it was a1 -> a7 then b16 and **** that was confusing.. so no i wasnt being a jerk.. i too remeber what it was like beinig new to this stuff..

but for the whole shooting match shipped it will be 196$

pm6 ecu
injector clips
distributor
intake mani
injectors
resistor box

i think that is it.. might have forgot something lmk

I have a question when you do the swap

i have the injector box with the green plug still attached from 90 crx si

everywhere I see they say from the 2 dx injectors (dpfi) yellow/black wires connect to the injector boxes yellow/black wire

the injector box only has 4 all black wires and 1 red wire attaching to the green plug

do I just add them to the red wire? I dont have the si plug for that goes into the injector box.

This is the only thing from the swap that im confused on (which to me is little)

-The DX has 2 injector plugs on it, cut them off as close to the plug as you can. Connect all the yellow/black wires from those injector plug wires and solder them all together. From that combined connection solder on another wire and run it to the yellow/black wire on the Injector Resistor Box.
-Connect the solid yellow wire from the DX injector to the #1 injector (I insert all the signal wires onto the left side of the injector plug, and all the resistor box wires on the right side, though I'm not sure it matters).
-Connect the solid red wire from the DX injector and run it to the #3 injector (onto the left side of the plug, like I mentioned above).
-Connect the A3 wire to the #2 injector (left side).
-Connect the A7 wire to the #4 injector (left side).
-Now run a wire from the right side of each injector plug and connect it to the red/black wires on the injector resistor box (the order doesn't matter from what I've seen).

pretty much.. the yellow/black wires on both the dpfi injectors are a signal source when you wire them up to the resistor box it then transfers the signal to the 4 injectors then you wire up the hot sides to the 1 and 3 injector. then run 2 new wires from the ecu to the 2 and 4 injector.

just incase you still dont get it..

old injectors.......primary........................... ................... secondary

.........................solid yellow - 1#..................................solid red - 3#
........................yellow /black - resistor box..................yellow/black - resistor box

wires........injectors.....................resisto r box wires does matter red/black
yellow.......- 1#.................................red/black
ecu a3.......- 2#.................................red/black
solid red.....- 3#................................red/black
ecu a7.........- 4#...............................red/black

tell me if you need more help

MY INJECTOR BOX IS FROM A 90 CRX SI

ALL IT HAS IS 4 BLACK WIRES AND 1 RED WIRE ON IT AND AT THE END I HAVE THE GREEN PLUG STILL INSTALLED

I DONT HAVE A SI HARNESS PLUG INTO IT (DO I NEED)

EVERYONE KEEPS SAYING SEND THE 2 DX INJECTOR YELLOW/BLACK WIRES TO YELLOW/BLACK WIRES ON THE INJECTOR BOX.

THERE IS NO YELLOW/BLACK WIRE ON THE INJECTOR BOX!

THAT WHAT IM ASKING? IT HAS 4 BLACK WIRES AND 1 RED WIRE IM ASSUMING TO SEND IT TO THE RED WIRE WHICH IS LIKE THE POWER TO THE RESISTOR IN WHICH I NEED TO DO RIGHT?

SORRY FOR SOUNDING LIKE AN A%% JUST REALLY FUSTRATED ON THIS PART..

THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP

THANKS KOWCAIN your the MAN..

Thats what I assumed, just wanted to be correct.

Everywhere including what you stated below says connect to the yellow/black injector box wire in turn it should say red wire.

thanks again for the help
