Default 88 CRX seat belts into a 91 CRX?

I have a 91 CRX with JDM door panels and power windows and the 91 door mounted seatbelts will not work. I just got a set of belts from an 88 CRX Si and need to know how they can be fitted into a 91 model. I know about adding the nut to the pillar post, but what about the floor mounts? There seem to be none on the drivers side and I haven't looked at the passenger side yet. Has anyone done this conversion, and if so how did you mount the belts to the floor? I have some ideas but would like some imput from someone who has done this

by floor mounts, do you mean the housing for retraction at the base of the b-pillar?

i seem to recall that was where others had gotten stuck as well. theres people who've done it. they'll post up eventually.

did you try searching the archive at all?

search for "seat belt" with archive checked in the CRX section yielded this is from an existing thread:

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by peanut butter &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Ok I just stole this from the workshop manual and modified it a bit but this should help to visualize everything.

Looking at the diagram above:
89+ shells have the mounts for the belt retractor.

89+ shells also have holes for the upper anchor bolt mount but no nut inside to screw it to. There might be a better way to add a nut but what I did was weld a nut onto a piece of sheet metal and slid it up to the hole. However you can't just slide it up there because the top seatbelt/door catch on the 89+ door mounted cars have their own odd shaped nut/hardware to hold them in place which has to be taken out in order to fit a nut up in there. You will have holes in your door jam after you remove the catch(is this the correct name?)....body work can fix that

89+ Shells have a nut for the lower anchor bolt on the passenger side only, on the drivers side you must add one somehow, what I did was put a nut on a piece of sheet metal, drilled a hole in the floor, and mounted it to the underside of the car on the floor.

I believe that is it unless you go to seats with 88 seat rails which I did and that is even more fun </TD></TR></TABLE>

I did search and didn't get any results. Can't remember what I typed in to search though. I have everything worked out but the post mounts on each side and i'm thinking of different methods of mounting a bolt there. Anyone know the size of the bolt that will fit the seatbelt bolt? I don't seem to have any the proper size.
