Default weld cast to steel or no?

i got a bit of a problem with my t3 to 14b adaptor plate. the manifold cannot be bolted down when the plate is bolted down to the turbo. see pic.

i hear that people sometimes crack the cast iron when welding to steel.

should i get the adaptor plate welded to the turbo?

also does anyone know a good welder in socal that can do this?

91770/91768 area but i am willing to drive about a 50 mile radius maybe more.

i'd ask whoever you got the adapter from why it doesn't fit.

Welding cast is easy. Experience is a must.
That is a good point though, why doies an adapter not fit?
