Default few questions regarding a engine swap.

Ok got a 94 lude si the h23 is weak sauce. Ill be coming into 3k in the next month or so. I'm obviously wanting a h22 I have just a few quick questions about the swap. The swap is well beyond my mechanical knowledge so I need to know how much is a fair price for a swap by a shop? Will the header and exhaust off my h23 fit? (I've read the bolt patterns are different.) I'm not changing the tranny won't have the money yet is there a huge difference? I'm not looking for a crazy drag racer just a fun little dd. I have upgraded brakes for the extra power so that's not a issue. Any info would be great I've searched a lot acids threat scares me I don't want that hassle. Thanks in advance.

No, the H23 header won't fit the H22 head. The H23 tranny has just a little bit longer gears...no biggie.

What brake upgrade did you do?

3 k....Hmmm.

Forget the swap. The power diffrence isnt worth the $$$.

A new motor and tranny from Hmotors is upwards of 2k. Install is rated at 1.5k. 18 hours of work at 90 bucks an hour.

There are other things you can do with that money to put down better numbers than a H22a.

They came on the car when I bought it. Looks to have better brake lines stainless steel I think. The calipers I have no idea but I know the rotors are all slotted so I'm guess that a upgrade lol. Yes I'm a total brakes n00b. Well a over all n00b honestly.
