Default 98-01 4cyl. tranny problems

I have a 98 Accord coupe with 155,443 miles Auto Transmission. Just recently my transmission started slipping between gears. I was just wondering what can I do to stop it. Should I get another transmission and if so where is a good place to look for one? Or can i do something to the transmission to make is stop slipping? Has anyone else had this problem with these cars and what did they do to solve this problem?? I am located in New Jersey.

6th gen auto Accords are notorious for transmission problems. It's typical for 6th gen autos to experience problems at the mid 100,000 mile mark.

yes I did some research on it and found that there are many people who have had this problem with there 6th gen accords. But, I'm trying to find out the most cost efficient way to fix this problem because I'm very short on money. I am in college and all my money is going towards the my college tuition. So if anyone could help me figure out a most cost efficient way to fix this problem.

Is there a drain on the transmission for my car? Or do i have to do something else to change the transmission fluid?

On the passenger side, there is a 3/8 inch square hole. Insert a 3/8 rachet in there and unscrew.
