idle surge, mpfi cam in a dual point??????????
i rebuilt a d15b2 for a friend, i used a d15b7 mpfi head and cam, because i already had it machined and he was in a crunch and needed his car back. anyway it idles a lil high and then surges when it gets warm, im wondering if the d15b2 dual point cam and the d15b7 mpfi cams are different, and if thats my problem
you have a vacuum leak. there is a was to check if it is leaking through the throttle body, take off the intake and there are holes on the inside of the throttle body right before the butterfly valve. cover them up one at a time, find which one stopped the surge, fix car accordingly.
X2, bleed the coolant system. Its the most common cause of the honda bounce.
Other culprits....
Bad FITV
Bad EACV/IACV
Bad thermostat
Bad dizzy

there is coolant coming into the eacv, also if i squeeze shut the air hose that runs from the black box on the dual point down to the eacv the idle drops and stops surging whats this mean?..i appreciate the help guys...
im going to change the thermostat tomorrow, it only took 1 gal of coolant, and never did drop when it got to temp
