I have a JDM DOHC ZC cable trans with a KAAZ LSD, I have a JDM SSO cable trans with the 4.43 FD and LSD and I have a 93 Civic VX Hydraulic trans sitting in my garage.

I'd like to take 2nd-4th gear from the ZC trans AND the KAAZ LSD and install them in the SSO case and also take the 5th gear from the VX trans. and install that in the SSO as well.

Is this possible? If so it will give me ratios very close to a USDM Type R trans for my lowly JDM SOHC ZC. BTW, this is a track/AutoX CRX.

Any info/experience will be greatly appreciated!!

 

Anybody? Will the hydro 5th gear work in the cable case?

I am running a 92-95 USDM hydro .702 5th in a '88 cable USDM SI case with no issues in my daily driver. I can't vouch for the JDM cases though.
