Default Ran Into A Lil Problem

Ok I drove my 88 CRX around the other day and noticed that VTEC kicked in once. So I was like WTF??? All the oil was fine. So the guy I bought the swap from told me that he put in a Civic's speedometer cable and the clip that came with the cable he lost it. So my question is do I have to get an Integra's cable beause the civic's cable is short or do you think I could just get away with the Civics cable and just getting a clip so the cable can stay in. Oh yea this has a B16a swap in it also

Nah you should be fine without the clip.

Just pull the rubber boot back on the cable a bit, then insert the cable kinda firmly, then push the boot back over the cable.

Should be fine with that, it's how I run mine. If you're real worried about it you could throw a zip tie on it.

You do have a rubber boot on the cable yes? If yes, just zip-tie the boot to the tube. It should be plenty to hold the cable in.

additionally, that metal tube actually has a notch in it, so you could zip tie the notch and that will grab the body of the cable and hold it. It is exactly how the metal clip works, just with a zip tie instead.

The boot idea is good, i definitely didnt think about that, but it might also explain why my boot was cut vertically when i bought my car.
