kind of new at this, biulding a h2b on my bros eg. using the stock obd1 dizzy that came with the motor. got it to start but not for long maybe about 10mins. then it went out. so we got a new one from the auto store. its a us dizzy, so we wire up the msd kit for the ext coil, got it working for 10 mins and dies out. dont know what to do next need help. we use the stock engine harness. pulg all sensors in and no light when it got warm up. running on a p28 ecu with h22 map. has anyone have any problems like this before, and what should i do next to fix it?

 

its prob not the dizzy...what made you think it was the dizzy? not questioning your knowledge but give us some more info...after it stalls did you check for spark, fuel pressure, injector pulse?

 

it could be a grond for the dizzy had the same problem in hatch keep blowing the coils so i got a hole new dizzy housing problem solved

 

check for spark and there was none. fuel presure was good. the ground is also good. out of ideas. should i just get a jdm dizzy?
we did get a new house, but its the us dizzy instead of the jdm. both did the same thing.

 

the only diff between the us and jdm dizzy is internal and external dizzy

 

yeah thats why i put the msd on with the new us one. and its still shorted out. right now just waitting on another one to see whats going on.

 

is there power getting to the coil? it might be the coil. is it new?

 

dont know what but got it to work. my bro just instal the old one that came with the motor. not sure but we didnt change anything.
