speedometer cable clip
I'm missing the clip that holds the speedometer cable in the manual trasmission, I tried to find it on a honda parts list and diagrams but I can't seem to find it. I'ts for a 91 crx si d16a6 Thanks.
I agree... it's not really necessary, but I have had the cable pop up once. It's easy to get to and not really worth the hassel of finding a clip and trying to get that damn thing in there.
I didn't use a clip for a couple days and was fine, but you probably should replace it. I thought i could go without it, but i have launch control on my car, so i couldnt go over 4500 rpms whenever the cable popped out. That got really annoying. Once you get the hang of how it retains the cable, it will take you 5 mins to put in, and you won't have to deal with a vss code again for a long time.

yeah i checked out majestic, couldn't find it in the parts listings... I never remember the clip being necessary either, but I can't get the cable to "snap" into the transmission, i've put this cable in a dozen times on this car and others so i know how easy it should be, but with this one there's no resistance at all.. it just bottoms out in the hole and comes out too easily. maybe I have a bigger issue then a clip.
