Default speedometer cable clip

I'm missing the clip that holds the speedometer cable in the manual trasmission, I tried to find it on a honda parts list and diagrams but I can't seem to find it. I'ts for a 91 crx si d16a6 Thanks.

the clip isnt nessesary, ive lost it on every ef ive owned so far and never had an issue with the cable coming out of the vss without it.

I agree... it's not really necessary, but I have had the cable pop up once. It's easy to get to and not really worth the hassel of finding a clip and trying to get that damn thing in there.

I didn't use a clip for a couple days and was fine, but you probably should replace it. I thought i could go without it, but i have launch control on my car, so i couldnt go over 4500 rpms whenever the cable popped out. That got really annoying. Once you get the hang of how it retains the cable, it will take you 5 mins to put in, and you won't have to deal with a vss code again for a long time.

ive never had one on mine either, its poped out once on me but i jus pushed it in real good and it hasnt popped out since

if u really want it. check out majestichonda. they pretty much have everything u need including that little clip

yeah i checked out majestic, couldn't find it in the parts listings... I never remember the clip being necessary either, but I can't get the cable to "snap" into the transmission, i've put this cable in a dozen times on this car and others so i know how easy it should be, but with this one there's no resistance at all.. it just bottoms out in the hole and comes out too easily. maybe I have a bigger issue then a clip.

just bent a paper clip or something
