Default Removing window tint question

Unfortunately my window tint is soo old its coming off in two pieces. Leaving that hair thin light purple layer on the window and I just want to know if theres an easier way to get it off other than using razor blades.

take some amonia, and water, and mix it together, and spray it on the windows, peel back a litle edge with a razor blade, and start pulling off.

amonia works a bit but not like how you would like it to,it tears then you do it again, and be sure to have lots of ventilation, amonia is bad to inhale.... i would recomend just using windex and a razor all the way...

i use an alcohol based window cleaner and a razor its the best way. Soak it down real good and it scapes right off.

rub some 100 octane gas on the window and light that Sh#t on fire. Then well see if it doesn't come off easy hahaha...... No i had the same problem with my CRX. One easy way to do it is to put a trash bag on the window that you want to remove the tint from so that it attracts light in the day. Then take the bag off and the heat should help you remove the tint much easier..... Good luck Youll need it

the pros use a steamer to get that thin layer of glue to melt. It will peel off easy that way.

Actually amonia works awsome, I did all the windows on my rex except windsheild, and got done in less than an hour, and that even includes scraping off the glue, but yes if you do it this way, you need plenty of ventaliation.

go to your local auto parts store, get some window tint remover, soak it on the tint and put a trash bag over it for about an hour in the sun. should peel right off

I actually borrowed a multi purpose steam cleaner and owned that bitch.

I just sprayed it at an already sun baked warm film and it just scrunched into a ball into the middle of the window...like when you step on a spider.
