Default idle rises when stepping on brake pedal

Hello there all,

recently my idle has been idling weird. it would go up and down and up and down. however if i turn the vent fan on, the idle stabilizes. i tested something out tonight and found out that if i press the brake pedal really fast and repeatedly, the idle rises until a certain and drops and keeps doing that.

anyone know wtf is wrong with this? thanks

Look for a vacuum leak from the brake booster or the booster valve or hose.

thats normal. pumping the brakes repeatedly in an automatic will raise the rpm. its a normal vacuum opperation.

sorry pumping the brakes in any car with "power brakes" will raise the rpm temporarily.
