Default 1987 Accord?

Just wondering if anyone makes a cold air intake setup to replace the stock air breather? If anyone has done this do you have pics?

http://www.3geez.com is your best resource for third generation accords.

A couple companies used to make short ram intakes, cold air intakes from 90-93 integras fit with minor modifications, along with a couple intakes from other hondas.

This is for a carburated motor, which is why I was asking. I know they make them for EFI.

You don't need or want a CAI on a carb'd Honda. The 3g Accord and most other carb'd Hondas have a tube that collects hot air from the exhaust manifold and pipes it up into the air cleaner. There's a flap in your airbox that regulates the temperature of airflow into the carb. The stock carb is designed, and runs best with that system in place. It keeps the intake air temperature at around 100*F. Putting a CAI on a carb'd Honda is a waste of money and will only hurt performance, emissions, and gas mileage unless you are going to de-vacuum and modify the carb or run an aftermarket carb. Save your money and put it towards a Weber carb and a header. Best bolt-ons for any carb'd Honda money can buy.

Not sure where to get a header. DC headers come up on eBay once in awhile, the 3geez.com marketplace is a good resource and PreludePower.com.

I bought my Weber conversion kit from Pierce Manifolds. It takes some work to do right... If you live in an emissions area, you won't pass emissions unless you really know how to tune it. But the beauty is you can strip the car of all the vacuum crap, and you'll have a sexy clean engine bay as a bonus to the additional power.
