Default B20-Vtec First time at the track (now 245 whp 170 tq) slicks

Well this was the first time at the track. I detuned it from the 263 whp and 173 wtq, to 245 whp and 170 wtq. We took off the Mailbox2 custom intake manifold and the SMSP b20 vtec header. I put on the parts that my brother actually owns which is the type R manifold and a JDM DC 4-1 2.5" collector with the Skunk2 mega power 2 exhaust. The 2 step was at 7000 rpm, M&H 23" slicks and the car weighs 2420 with a 3/8 tank of gas full interior. I couldn't raise the 2 step because I left the chord at work

Here are the results that we ended up with that he will be driving for awhile.

Traps seem a bit low for your always-super-high DynoJet numbers...

I couldn't raise the two step I forgot the chord at work, Which is Y i think the speed was down a bit it bogged out of the hole. The rev limiter is a 8350 so she isn't a high rever. My bro said it was going through the traps @7500 in 4th with the stock US R trans. It needs a JDM final drive. The numbers were from our dyno jet. We will go back hopefully this week with a 7500 two step and see what happens. The 60' were around low 1.8's. The car doesn't have any upgraded bushings in the front and no traction bars. The elevation is 650' above sea level.

Traps do seem low the for the dynojet numbers.
But none the less still good time for a coupe

awesome man. pick you up some traction bars and maybe some coilovers and put all that power to the ground.

traps do seem low for that amount of power.

You guys don't give up do you! 2570 LBS with driver and a bog out of the hole and we are 3 mph off. Give me a break, My drag car runs 11.3-11.5 @117-120mph does that seem right? Traction has a direct effect of MPH. Next time I will set the 2 step @ 8200 and watch the traps go up with the same power. Traps are not the end all be all. Anyone is always welcome to dyno on our dyno jet and compare. Its the same story every day a customer makes low power and our dyno reads low then when we do our homework and build a good motor our dyno reads high.

Nice dyno! And that's de-tuned?! What is the engine setup?

btw, (race) tracks go in circles, and (drag) strips don't.

I was expecting faster times with that much power and on slicks.

But not bad.

Don't you hate it when you go to the track just to find out that your damn 2step is too low and you can't even launch without bogging?

About a year or so ago I took my integra to a track after class one day. It was at MIR and anyone who has been to MIR knows its nice and sticky. I couldn't get a good launch to save my life due to my 2step being way too low. This is why I don't even bother with 2steps anymore. Bolt up slicks, do a nice burnout, hold that bitch on the limiter and dump it
end hijack/

Looking forward to seeing your new times with a better launch.

We just ran it with street tires yesterday, 12.9@112 so there is the high MPH you guys were looking for.
