I recently picked up a '88 DX with a B18A swap, now the owner told me the engine is out of a '92 which should be a OBD1 motor, but the owner also said he did not need to rewire the car for OBD1.

So how can I tell what OBD my motor should be? I'll need to check but I think the ECU says PR4.

 

It doesn't matter. The motor will run just fine on any OBD or lack there of if the dizzy and O2 and ECU all match.

 

its printed on the engine block above the header, its in a circle and it'll say one number serperated by a slash and a number...example, 96 would be 9/6
