Ls/GS-r Vtech swap questions
I currently have a 2000 integra Ls turbo. I plan to buy a GS-R head with Type R cams, with valve work done, etc. It comes with intake manifold but not the throttle body. Since I am doing I guess what everyone seems to do, this LS/ vtech swap, I just was curious what i should expect to but in the near future for the most part. Will my Ls intake fit on the gs-r head? If not, can I use my Ls throttle body on the Gsr intake? Do I need to get another exhaust turbo manifold and downpipe since the head is different? This will be my first build, so any helpful hints or answers GREATLY appreciated! Even if you have a post saved as bookmark I can read, anything will be helpful. I also heard that since I want to boost about 15lbs I should get edelbrock vistoryX manifold and then get lower compression pistons. I am lost!?
your intake wont fit but since its a 2000 ls throttle body, itll be close to the size of a gsr and you can use the throttle bodyo n the gsr manifold
a victor x is nice for boost and u should upgrade teh pistons to lower comp and do the rods but if you cant get the rods, make sure you get rod bolts for your rods you have

You can't use the LS Intake mani on the GSR head. Can't really use the LS throttle body either if you are using the GSR intake mani as it has a different throttle cable set up and where the TB sits in relation to the runners your stock throttle cable might bind from being at such a weird angle. You'll see if you try to use it. As far as the exhaust all b-series exhaust flanges are the exact same so you can use your LS turbo mani. If you are using your stock LS pistons you may run into problems as the valve reliefs on the pistons aren't big enough and your valves WILL hit your pistons. The Victor X intake mani is a nice upgrade over stock so get it if you want.
so meaning they will hit the pistons, I need to look into replacing the postons during the head swap then huh? I dont want to break a dang thing!! So is this assumption correct??
