1989 civic hatch check engine light on after smoke check?

check engine light on after smoke check?
I bought Honda civic hatchback 1989 and check engine light turn on after smoke check, and some body tell me for count ECU blinking. The ECU Show short blinking 12 times and pause for one or two second and then blinking 12 times again (same blink) what code???How to fix it.Can any body tell me? Thank you
