John Staley (HART Civic) 7.31, 7.29 this past weekend
We've all been so engrossed in what's going on in Nopi and Battle, I wasn't paying attention to Competition Eliminator as I usually do. John Staley went 7.31@183 to qualify 4th and backed that up with a 7.29@181 (.563 under their class index of 7.86) in Eliminations. Unfortunately, he fell victim to the red light jinx with that strong 7.29. Sounds like they've got way more in that car, and I can't wait to see it in person with their new setup!
WOW!! I totally forgot about him. Glad he's repping for the imports in a whole other sector of drag racing. He's doing it just like Titan is in ADRL. We need people like him!!
Good stuff!!

ya thats right. I'm not 100% sure what the original one was, but maybe the V6 from accord or CL? but ya I think it has an NSX motor now. I dont really know the details, not much talk about that car anywhere.
This car was next to my booth at this years SEMA show. I spoke with the guys racing the car and they mentioned that they switched out the Accord motor in favor of NSX last year sometime. Here are some pictures I took one morning.

Two words, BIG BOOST!
Two words, BIG BOOST!
I have the videos, if anyone can tell me how to post them....at any rate, here are more pics. I can answer any specific questions on the car but I will not answer any on the tune up...so please do not bother asking, thanks!

Up on your page on photobucket there should be button for video's or maybe now just click on the select file form you computer button or what ever it say's. It's easy, I'm 53 y/o and I could figure it out. Give it a shot, if you can tune that car, this should be a piece of cake...
Thanks for all the comments...We have worked very hard to make this car competitive. Anyone who knows the history also knows it has been an uphill battle. Nice to finally se some dividends from all the hours.
Here is Saturday's qualifying pass video, the first of 2 that set the new national record for CC/AT. Big thanks to ERL Performance and Redline Oil, we could not have done it without you guys!
