if anyone could post a pic or tell me how to know if i got a auto or 5spd tranny for my D15b. it just has a rod that moves back and forth next to the stationary shifter arm. sorry if this doesnt make sense but if i could see a pic or something to show me the difference than that would be a life saver! thanks.

 

put something through the hole in the rod, if you can move it left and right and in and out like shifting, free L and R in the neutral position it's a five speed

 

i think your anwser means when in your the car right? im talking when the motor and trans are out of the car.

 

i meant out, tranny on the ground, should have a 1" long or so rod with a hole through it, shiould got in and out 3 clicks, the middle of those should spin left to right mabe 35-45 degrees. would be a manual

 

and if it has a hole in the housing for the slave fork thats a give away too
