What kind of motors come in them from Lotus. I though it was a honda motor (k20) but then i heard it was a toyota motor?? BTW the one with the audi 1.8T is a waste...

 

In the US they come stock with the Toyota 2ZZ-GE from the Celica. Everywhere else they get the Rover 18K4, a DOHC 1.8L with 192hp.

 

So the K is a swap owners do themselves??

 

Yes, there are companies that do the swap but alot of people do it themselves. Run Hondata and everything

The most popular swaps are the K20, Audi 1.8t, and the Ford Duratec

Went out in my friends K4 powered S2 Elise the other day. For a car with 120bhp, it was absolutely awesome!! Nearly keeping up with a friends GT4 at nearly 300bhp! So much fun to be had in these little cars. I can imagine the Honda engined ones are insane fun.

 

I'm bumping this up. Gorgeous cars.
