BTW, is the rule that after you run 13.499 you would need a helmet? what about roll bar/cage?

Bleh just got back from the track, was raining early but got better at around noon.
Got in quite a bit of run, didnt go as fast as i would like because i cant drive
.
I was trapping around mid 110's and that is with 320whp on a cx hatch sound reasonable to everyone?
First run i ran a 13.1 at 115 with a 2.6 60 foot
, best run was like 12.8 2.3 60 i believe at 114-18
Also seem to have a problem with the tranny? It doesnt seem to want to go into 2nd. It would have a hestitation before it let me into 2nd gear.
Shifting from 1st-2nd, it wouldnt let me in 2nd then half second later i can go in on the 12.8 run i was able to shift into 2nd fine.
Anyone have a clue what might be wrong?

My first guess is shifter bushing and a short throw shifter. To fix this problem, what ever it is, let us know how serious you are.
If your going to be drag racing for a while, I recommend not going cheap.
Motor mounts would be my second guess. You need to keep the engine and tranny in line with the shifter.

Hmm motor mount can cause this? i do feel quite a bit of vibration from the shifter cruising at higher RPM. Im also on stock motor mount with ES motor mount on the two torque mount.

The shifter bushing kit is easy and cheap, start there.
If you want to do a STS I recommend the Skunk2 it's not cheap but IMO that is one area where you get what you pay for.
You can get a insert kit for engine mounts. I would caution you about putting inserts in all the mounts if this is a daily driver.
Your mounts may be old and weak and allowing the engine to move to much throwing the shifter out of alignment.

I have no problem with engine vibration, you can toss solid mount my way and ill put them in. This is a weekend car so it not too bad, i guess ill start with motor mount first since my motor is flopping around quite a bit.
