HELP! About to buy 94 Civic EX with GSR swap, QUESTIONS!
Sorry if it sounds like I am beating a dead horse, but I searched and I am still unclear on my situation.
The car is a 94 Civic EX, swapped with a b18c1
The guy says he is still running the p28 (stock?) ecu.
Does this sound right? What should I be checking for? Did any wires need to be added to get the GSR swap to work with the p28?
I think the stock GSR ecu is p30? Isn't that what it should be running?
I want to car to run like it should, and pass emissions yada yada yada.
Also, where can I find the VIN number on the engine, as well as the transmission? I want to make sure the swap is USDM and not STOLEN!
THanks for your help guys!!!

You can get a P28 CHIPPED to run a GSR, if its a stock ECU, the car will be running dangerously lean.
Shouldn't need any extra wires as its an EX and already has Vtec wired up.
And the motors typically didn't have VIN's on them untill 1996 and later.

Well, here are my main concerns.
If the b18c1 is running off the stock ex ecu (p28 obd_?), then what should I look out for? Is it going to blatantly run like ****, or could it be possibly a daily driver until fixed?
So the optimum choices are either send the ecu out to get chipped, or what? Run the GSR ecu? Would any additional mods need to be taken into account when running the GSR ecu in a 94 civic ex? I thought the wiring may be different in some way.
If it gets chipped, will it still be emissions legal and all that jazz, assuming the motor is USDM?
And finally, I want to run Carfax reports on the vehicle VIN, the engine VIN and transmission VIN. To make sure all the mileages are correct and nothing is stolen/salvage/reconstruction issues.
So there is no VIN on the engine/tranny? Side of the head I thought, and bottom of tranny? Ehh.
Sheet mang! I'm goin to check this car out Sat at 1pm..
Any help will be appreciated! Sorry if Im killing this forum lolz
If there are relevant articles I need to read, please point me in the right direction.

I read that it's not gonna read the knock sensor, so it will redline at 6200 rpm? Also, I read something about "secondary butterflies" not working, thus losing power and running like crap?
wtf I am confused.
