Default Rebuidling GSR Block .Need suggestion on which Pistons to purchase

Well I'm in the search for some new pistons and maybe rods. This is for a GSR motor. Im on a very very strict budget. So I would like some suggestions on what to get. Im not looking to spend more then 250 on pistons. Whats a reliable brand ? Will any certain pistons yield me extra HP?
Car is I/H/E and about to buy a Intake Manifold (Blox) . Maybe on boost soon but on hold due to this problem. thanks for any suggestions

if you want to go boost and dont want to spend an arm and a leg go oem.. get some ls pistons.. theyre like $30 a piece.. itll lower the compression a lil as well

it's really hard to find what you are looking for. most pistons by a reputable forged 2618 alloy manufacturer will cost upward of 400 and will be in a compression ratio that will severely hinder all motor performance. sit back and decide NA or boost. for NA check out RS Machines pistons and go for the pr3 copy and get 11.7-11.9 compression or just the ITR copy pistons and get 11.5-11.6 or so. for boost you'll need to be in the 8.5-9.5 compression ratio area to be friendly in the event of detonation. but the car will be slower than it is now (unless you currently have blow by from the rings)

go with the Ls pistons.. it wont hurt NA performance dramatically.. but it will suffer some.. it will be worth it in the long run if you go boost.. or you could just leave it stock and save money for some forged pistons.. i spent just under $1000 for forged pistons and rods.. but it was worth the wait/money...
