Default figured out my tranny problem. need some advice

well i finally figured out my tranny problem. it had a clicking noise through every gear. i finally pulled it apart and it turns out that i broke 3 teet off the countershaft. other than the countershaft there appears to be no damage, fortunately i stoped driving the car when i herd it

the problem is that the dealer told me that the countershaft is backordered, and there is no estimated time of arrival.

so i am either looking to get the jdm 4.7 final drive, or the mfactory final drive set.
does anyone have any recomendations, or experiences with the mfactory drive sets. they claim them to be stronger. is this true?

any comments would be appreciated

thanks

Yes, MFactory final drives are stronger than OEM. If you get MFactory, go with the 4.9 versus the 4.7. Any other questions about it?

thanks for the comments.
i have not decided what ratio i want to run yet. i was originally going to turbo charge the car, and the motor is built for turbo, so i don't want to go any shorter. However i think i am going to sell the car and the turbo kit, and call it quits. not sure yet.

the clicking was under all conditions. fast, slow, turning everything. when i eventually jacked the car up i took it through all gears, and it had a constant click. fortunately i stoped driving the car straight away.

were you the guy i spoke to months ago who was having the same problem? i looked for your email to tell you what my problem was, but i couldn't find it. if so and you have any other questions let me know.

but yeah it was a constant click.

yeah i would also say yours sounds like an axle. i have broke a couple of driver side axles before, sort of sounds like that.

i jacked my car up and threw it in gear and listened to it with a stethoscope and it was pretty obvious that it was in fact coming from my transmission.

wish i could give more help than that. i got pretty lucky because i found te 3 teeth that broke off stuck to the magnets, cant see any other damage.
good luck though
