Anybody got any pictures of the yellow interior? I mean full shots, i.e. front seats, rear seats, shift boot, etc?

What year did this come in also? Only assuming it's was the JDM version. Also CDM version got red interior correct?

The yellow interior came on PY Type-Rx, I believe the last year the DC2 was produced. The red interior came on 2001 CW CDM Rs.

 

Not exactly what you are looking for but this is my all time fave yellow interior shot.

They did come in the Type Rx. From which I understand it was offered as a base model type R.....came with a B18c5 but lacked comfort features. I would stick with the Red. Putting the yellow in is like someone with GSR leathers putting in cloth.

 

The Rx actually came with some EXTRA . . . LUXURY options. It wasn't a "base" ITR.

 

They came in the JDM Type-Rx, the AUDM limited edition, and the Swiss 00-01's iirc.

 

i owned a set once...but sadly it wasnt clean enough for me to keep it. next set will be brand-new. its nice in a yellow r, but it is an acquired taste.

 

How many of these seats were in production? I hear there was either 200 or 500 made. How many people of have it in US?

 

There were some in the JDM Type-Rx's, the Swiss phoenix yellow, and the the AUDM phoenix yellow R's...

I wonder if those are dealer options in Japan.

 

The yellow rear seats have popped up everynow and again, but they were not options and the ones that are out there were custom jobs.

 

wow...those remind me of bomber's red db8 rears that match the jdm red Recaros. but damn, either someone had an inside connection to Honda Japan for custom one-offs or prototypes from the factory or there is a VERY talented shop out there doing a fantastic job using oem Recaro materials.

hushypushy, not to start a debate and bashing again, but anyway you could provide more pics, details and info on that set? what you have is so unique...i can imagine how Fcking awesome a yellow db8 with FULL yellow interior would look.

 

I love how everyone always gets all excited about those custom seats being a factory option. LOL

 

Dealer option... There's a difference.

Dealers would send out seats to upholstery shops such as they did with many EM1s when they came out.
