Last sunday i was driving and i almost ran out of gas completely... so i went to Shell (I wanted chevron or 76 but i didnt think i would get there with the gas i had..) and filled up.... then right after i filled up i was on my way home... i noticed that the car was hesitating when i stepped on the gas.. so i pulled over and turned off the car... then when i started it up again it was running like ****... it was boggin and then the muffler started to pop really loud when i was accelerating, it backfires really bad... i already checked the timing and the distributor but still runs the same.. what can i do??

replace plug wires, plugs, maybe you got a bad tank of gas, I don't know, but check those too. Happend to me and that was kinda the last thing on my mind, but that was the problem.

 

sounds like a bad tank of gas, or you sucked in some crud from the bottom of your tank into your fuel filter and/or injectors.

spray some injector cleaner in ur tank and run that through maybe it will clkean up the **** u probably ran in when u ran dry.

 

yeah... i think ill get some injector cleaner and if that doesnt solve i guess ill be draining the tank...
