Are these motors the same or interchangeable with each other?

 

What are you talking about?

D16a1 is DOHC and no it doesn't even have the right mounts to bolt up to a CRX or an EF. IT would be custom mounts

on the other hand, SOHC zc will bolt up fine and is an easy swap.

dohc zc is an easy bolt in swap too.......

 

Well i just bought a crx with d16a1 that has a sohc heah on it , i also got a dohc zc motor with it has a bent rod and an ear is broken off the head, and i have been looking around and for parts for ebay ect lot of places say zc d16a,,really having some problems with it to throwing codes 10,9,6

it has sohc top end and d16a1 bottom end. im pretty well confused my self ,anyone thing that my be some of the problems with throwing some of the codes that im getting?lol

Please post a picture of the motor in the bay and a pic of the engine code stamp

i admit i dont know alot about this, but i can read what it says on the block, and know what it looks like d16a and its a sohc will post pics later no camera in hand right now

 

d16a6 how bout that sorry about that i didnt have the right numbers, just went and popped the hood and took a second look, so do the zc and the d16a6 have anything in common?

 

The A6 and the SOHC zc are almost identical. All of the parts interchange.

There are different zc's though.
