Default LoveFab h22 header

Ok guys, they have one of the best prices i can find, customer service is apparently great, as is time frame you can expect your header. I was just wondering if anybody has ever used one. I have never seen a single car on honda-tech or preludepower with one of these headers so i have no clue. I really want a header and i think i will be getting this one unless someone can give me a reason of why i shouldn't. I honestly can't imagine any complaints. If you have ever seen the cars those guys are pumping out of their shop you would understand.

i am not to worried about the crossmember. I have no problem cutting part of it out to fit a header. yes it is 1 piece. As for the front mount, i am going to take it out anyway when i pick up my innovative motor mounts. The mounts allow you to delete the front mount completely

I just want to know about the powaaaaa

yeah you can remove the front mount with the Innovative kit, but it looks like you will also need to remove the front crossmember to use that header. You would need the traction bar too. It will give you more clearance for that header. If you are getting better mounts, it makes sense to get the traction bar. That looks like a very good header. How much is it?

header is $800. But i want to get it jetcoated so probably about $1000 in the end. Mild steal starts to look like oem headers fast lol.

I searched the boards for others who have used this header. Apparently nobody ever has. One guy jakeiscool used an older version of the header on his civic. Never found out the gains on it though.

I am pretty sure i will do a dyno stock, dyno after with the new header. Then one with all my mods and nitrous lol. Sadly for you guys, if i pick this up, you won't have your results on the power gains for a while. It all depends on how much mulla i can make this summer

Also, i am considering the traction bar. I would prefer to just cut into the cross member but who knows. It does save a ton of weight in the end so i might pick one of those up as well.

i called him a couple hours ago and left a message. I have a couple questions for him about it. Hopefully everything goes smoothly and i pick one of these badboys up. I am actually digging the older version alot more. I'll see if he can make me one of those. The first header i posted looks more like a B series header.

I'd like to see the ground clearance, looks like it might be an issue on a lowered car.

that is actually one of my questions. I want to know if it is as tucked as he can get it and if not, could he make it a bit more tucked for me I am lowered 2 inchs in the front driving in a city full of pot holes and dips. The last thing i want is to destroy my header.

i dont know man, for the price of the header + coating + new mounts you could have had an SMSP or an SSR or a Hytech and be sure to make power.

Accord son!

He had it in his accord, and I was going to pick it up . From what he told me he was IN LOVE with the thing and it gave him some good power.

I had a Lovefab mini-me whe I road raced my Turbo ITR. It held up great considering that I bought it to replace a cracked cast iron manifold

So, yeah, in terms of worksmanship I'm sure it's a good header with perfect welds, but I'd want to see the power too

If you looking at spending $1,000, why not buy a proven header such as SSR, HYTECH, or SMSP? I'm not bashing your train of thought in anyway, I'm just curious to see if you have ruled them out. The headers I mentioned have been proven time and time again from a quality and performance standpoint.

Ok guys just to clear something up, i am buying those motor mounts regardless of which header i buy. So even if i buy a SSR, Hytech etc, i will still be paying another 350 for mounts so it will just cost me more. Plus, SSR and hytech do not come coated either meaning i would have to spend another $200 for coatings on those headers. Grand total for a hytech $1100 for the header, $200 for the coating, $350 for mounts =$1650 so it is actually alot more.

I want the mounts no matter what because i want my engine not to move, and for the weight savings. Eventually they allow me to get rid of the crossmember as well because i won't need that front mount and i won't have to spend an extra $200 for the traction bar with the front mount. Saves me money in the long run.

Hope that clears that up. So yes, the lovefab is the cheapest for me

Also, what i will do instead of a stock comparison for dyno numbers i will just do a dyno with my megan 4-2-1 header (pretty much stock) with all my mods, and then one with the lovefab with all my mods. That way all the mods help support each other and gain much larger gains than if it was just the header with stock everything else. But like i said, don't expect graphs for about 9 months if i do this because i won't have the money for the tune and a few other mods i want to buy before i get it all tuned.

Prudz_lude, I see what you are saying about the money situation. Believe me, I'm a 21yr old college student who is trying to modify his Honda, the right way. In my eyes, $1,300 for a PROVEN header with extensive amounts of information is worth the $300 increase over a header that barely has any information available. I always try to do it right the first time and avoid expenses, an I'm not saying that the lovefab header will prove to be invaluable. Then again, I am trying to build my car for the most possible power and in a year or two it will not be my daily driver, only daily racer.

I am excited to see the results. I will keep this thread on my watched topics for any updates. Best of luck with your choice

The header is sexy but I can't justify spending that much money on a header.

Go boost.
