so my question is does this sound like a good deal?

If you trust him as a engine builder than yes, that is a great deal.

As far as putting it in your car, if the motor is obd2 then everything will be easy. Just about everything will wire up except for dizzy & IAT, both are simple fixs cut and splice the correct plugs in, other than that you can utilize all your mounts except for the rear T mount which you will need to order. Slap on some axles and shift linkage and call it a day.

The day i see a B16 block pump out 220 NA hp to the wheels using honda OEM components will be the day I punch my boss in the face.

at best its making 160 to the wheels, and even that would be VERY surprising.

Whats the Compression ratio on the motor with the new pistons and rods?

Agreed. Sounds like a solid motor, but thats not really a realistic number.

OEM head though is what I mean, no mention of it being ported, or aftermarket valve train.

Aftermarket pistons/rods will be stronger, but typically are meant to raise, or lower compression. high compression = marginally higher NA HP across the power band *not 30-40hp higher, thats for damn sure*, Low compression = lower NA HP, but easier/safer to tune for boosting.

No offense to your friend, but if he told you 220hp he is already full of **** regardless of what kinda pistons are in it.

the only motors I've seen break 200hp NA are built ITR motors, a few fully built LS/Vtecs, and K motors.
