Default drag/street spring rates (searched)

i have a 4th gen turbo 400 whp 300 torque and i sometimes take it out on the street on friday nights, but i am looking for good traction at the strip, i currently have some old aftermarket springs and shocks and have alot of wheel hop.

my question is what are good spring rates for the strip but are not dangerous/too stiff for the bumps on the street. if you could list your opinions and maybe what some of you are running and how they feel that would answer my questions. thanks.

p.s i want to get tokico illuminas for shocks but dont know about good springs, the car is fairly low right now, and would like to kep its height

You could call Ground Control and I'm sure they would give you good advice. Do you have a traction bar setup and solid motor mounts? That will help a lot for traction... What tires are you using and at what pressure?

I second the ground control option. I currently run them on my civic coupe with an h22, paired with koni yellows. Give them a search for reviews, you should be pleased with what you find.

for the motor mounts, there's a cheap way to DIY i forgot, but it was using something non-automotive that dries and stiffens.. just incase if ur looking to go that route. i believe its the ghetto insert kit, but it works.

thanks for the replies i have 80a race urethane innovative mounts and the mototr doesnt budge, anyway i gus it was'nt my struts causing the wheel hop i got bfgoodrich g forces kdw2 and went to the track this friday and i normally wheel hop all the way through 2nd, until i let off of course but with these tires its all smooth spinning, i really need slicks and axles, by the way i ran 13.6 at 120mph.

i used some black polyurethane stuff from home depot. it's stiff but doesn't vibrate the car.

get some poly radius rod bushings too. that helped my wheel hop tremendously.
