Default Shell worth?

Ok, so even though I haven't tried real hard, I've had some trouble finding serious interested buyers for my "project" car. I'm now considering *maybe* selling the motor parts and shell seperately, so just curious, but what is the value of a clean title, good condition, rolling chassis?
I'm talking full interior, full suspension, needs new stickers, minor body work (couple small dents), and a couple small scratches, jdm front with hids. Basically whole car minus motor and transmission.
90,000 miles on the chassis, its PY, from 2000.
Thanks guys.

if the "shell" is that complete, why not just throw a motor in it?

Money.
I don't have any extra funds, nor will I for a while, I've got the original motor, its just torn down and sitting in the garage.
You know how it goes...things happen in life...I had money allocated for this, but other stuff came up, and now it just sits.
Originally I wanted 11K for all of it, lowered it to 10, would probably take 9 just to get it all gone.

hate burst your bubble, one can buy a complete shell for 3k or less with salvaged title. 9 and 3 is a huge margin!

You're not bursting any bubbles of mine...I also didn't ask what a salvage titled shell was worth.
Besides, I'm not sure you read it all, it wasn't wrecked, or stolen, or stripped, it just had the motor pulled for a rebuild. Its clearly worth more than 3k.
If someone only has 3k to spend, they need to move on, this project is not for them.

Id say 9K is a good starting price for that. throw a motor in it for 4K and you have a complete ITR in good condition for 13K.

Yeah I'd love to, I've got a complete head that has about ~1000 miles on it, just needs to be cleaned up, I'd guess 100$ or so, and I've got a block in good shape, and all the rest of the pieces.
Mainly missing a new set of piston rings, and bearings, and someone to put it all back together.
I stopped messing with it when I couldn't figure out what bearings to get...

Start it at 9, do not go below 8, i personally wouldnt go below 8500. Its a 2000 R, clean title. Just be patient someone will come around and buy it. Sick caR! If i didnt already have an R i would buy it. haha. With a little TLC that car would be very nice!

dood if you have all that, there is NO REASON to give up on it. pick up a manual, search the archives, find a friend, and learn how to do it. you could put it all back together yourself.

Your best bet is really to put it back together.. A running car opens a better market to buyers. Rather than DIY people.

Except it is PY and JDM front and has an engine. All I would need is the JDM front not included and enough money to buy it, which I don't see happening. I'll just wait until I find a theft recovery completely bare shell or have the cash for a 01 NBP in good shape under 70k.

Ahhh...my old car, maybe I'll buy it back.

Really this car is a pretty decent deal. I rebuilt the engine less than 1000 miles before I hydrolocked it to some degree. I was super broke at the time, and just dropped 5 grand on the engine and other mods. I did half *** the JDM front with the intention of re wiring, re-welding, and repainting it all in the future. The doors and rear panels are pretty much ding free. Interior is in good shape as well.

Funny I searched for "shell" and this came up. Good luck with the sale, sorry my project became your headache. I have a real job now, and am no longer broke as hell. If you are serious about selling, I may consider buying it back in a few months at roughly the same price, or less without the engine.

Is the front bumper OK? Was the lower core support fixed from the towing adventure?

FWIW, those bearings really are all brand new or were, having less than 1000 miles on them. I know popular sentiment is to never reuse bearings, but those things are right out the box.
