Default New HID Conversions

Hi all.
I just spoke to a localshop that deals with high end performance and I saw the new kit from CATZ. I called them and they told me it's the whole kit is made in Japan from a company called Matsushita??? They are the OEM provider of HID kits for Honda(Acura) and Nissan(Infiniti).
Anyone try their kits yet?

No, buy a ginuine Philips Bulb&Ballast set-up for your car(there is a groupbuy going on for a few more days in the BestBuy Forum right now), they are the provider to nearly all the OEM manufacturers. Enjoy

Matsushita is also the same as Panasonic... Interesting, I didn't think they made such things....

Catz are good brand, I haven't had experience with Panasonic ballast (parent company is Matsushita, makers of Quasar, National, Technics). They use Panasonic ballasts for K2 HID kits too I believe.

Matsushita

Panasonic is one of the best electronic companies out there in my opinion. Reliable, affordable and excellent quality.

Here's what I found out. They have two versions Aqua White and Rising White. The shop owner didn't know about the kelvin ratings. Rising white is the less expensive one, probably the 4300k. Aqua White is the bluer one. Hope that helps. Being made by Matsushita is definitely !

I got my HID's off a CL Type S and They were Stanley. One of my other Friends picked up the TL Headlight ballast and it was made by Matsushita.

Actually Hella kits are as good as the Philips. They are the OEM HID makers for models in Audi, BMW, Chrysler, Porsche, Volvo, Jaguar, VW as well as Honda. I see a lot of people on this board thinking "IT'S GOTTA BE PHILIPS" but they are as just as good, made in Germany too by the way
