44 lbs? Are you sure? The stock USDM seats are 30 lbs (13.6 kg) without rails.

Batroom scales are incredibly innacurate.

 

Not sure if he is right or not, but i do know the JDM weighs more then the USDM ones.

Yes they are heavy, I had a little difficulty carrying it about. I did both types of measurement on the scale; recaro only, recaro+me-me.

I could definitely feel the difference with the passenger seat taken out. Cheers!
