Header just came back from Jet-Hot
I had polished up my comptech header about a year ago because it looked like a rust bucket. Low and behold a year later and it looked the exact same way.
Rather than buy a new one, I decided to send it to jet-hot for a new finish.

This particular finish runs 165.00 which includes the return shipping.
The coating is inside and out and with stands pretty high heat ranges.

not bad, so when you said you polished the header a year ago, did you sand it down too? I was thinking about sanding mine down and polishing it, but not if it will return to that after a year

yeah, I wet sanded, buffed, used metal polish and it came out great...But it only lasted for about 6 months. Not worth the full day I spent on it. Had I known then what I know now, I'd never have done it my self.

Exactly what I was going to do, thanks for the heads up, I will most definitely not do this now. Does the new coating have some kind of warranty or anything?

This was the sterling. The Extreme sterling finish has a higher heat tollerance, but the finish is not as brilliant. More of a duller finish.

looks awesome. i got the semi gloss grey done on my header, which holds up to heat better than the standard finish. HPC's HQ is about 30 min from me and chris(rstor) they are nice folks. also learned that HPC owns jethot at this point

,,, thts a huge difference
