Default Hytech Exhaust, worth the wait?

Hey guys, just bought my 06' Type S about 2 weeks ago, ordered an intake, now I'm looking for an exhaust. My friends keep bugging me about the Hytech Exhaust and how awesome it is performance wise and sound wise, I've been looking at the Greddy Evo-2 just because I'm not a huge HKS Hi-Power fan.
Seems that Hytech is the only one that is left out when talking about exhaust systems for the RSX. From what I've heard and seen from other people is that they are horrible to deal with and take forever to get it to you. Yes I know they are custom made, so it takes longer, yadda yadda, but I've heard people waiting for up to 6 months, that to me is ridiculous. Wondering about everyone else's stories, positive or negative when dealing with Hytech.

I was also thinking about just ordering the Hytech muffler and having a fabrication friend custom make the piping for it, has anyone on here done that? Since that would probably lessen the wait time from Hytech.

Thanks guys

I wouldn't wait 6 months for an exhaust.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Jus4U2NV &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> I was also thinking about just ordering the Hytech muffler and having a fabrication friend custom make the piping for it. </TD></TR></TABLE> Word.

Just talked to them today about ordering the entire catback, unfortunately it will take 2 months; muffler would ship in 6 days I keep hearing great things about the exhaust from many people. Who knows, time will tell. Pics whenever I get it

John over at Hytech told me that it would take 2 weeks for my muffer...took almost 10. Terrible estimates on time, but he does great work. It's definitely a trade off. Great quality and flow...if you can afford it, I would seriously consider just sucking it up and ordering it from him. Just don't expect updates or good estimates on time. He didn't even call me when he finished it...it just showed up on my CC, and then on my door 4 days later.

Muffler goes on tomorrow...I guess I'll find out if it's worth it!.
