My friend has a 92 prelude non-vtec h23 that needs a new vss. He was looking into getting a new vss and most places he has seen them for sale are either 92 specified or 93 and up specified. Does anyone know if there is a substantial difference in the 92 speed sensor or are they all the same, basically could a 93 speed sensor be used in a 92? Thanks.

 

i have a 92 s model tranny and got a speed sensor from a 94 h22 tranny, and it was about identical to my 3rd gen sensor, so yeah, i'm pretty sure they're interchangeable

 

any 90-93 accord or 92-96 lude vss will work

the 94-97 accord ones will work but you have to loop the power steering lines that go to the vss as those accords dont use that feature.

 

Okay Thanks. I think he picked up a 93 lude sensor, not sure off of which engine though, but it sounds like it should work fine. We shall wait and see to put it in.
