Im considering buying a buffer. I have light swirl marks all over my car and I really want to repair my clear coat/paint. I went out and spent $50 on car washing products. Clay bar, Meguiars 3 step cleaning/waxing process. But Im running into tennis elboe with the paint cleaning and waxing.
Whats everyones experience with buffers? How much do they cost? They sound like a must have for any serious bodywork guys.

Portercable is by far the best random orbital buffer you can buy, its roughtly $200

You will also have to get some better products, the meguiars 3 step system gives poor results at best. It is designed mostly to hide problems instead of fix them.
3M Swirl Mark Remover and 3M Finesse-it II should be enough to remove the swirls. Finish up with a high quality wax/sealant from klasse, blackfire, zaino, pinnacle, or p21s
